Parents need support to balance work and childcare. That's why we're doubling free childcare for parents. Do you agree with these plans?
Families should be able to choose what's right for them, whether that's returning to work or staying at home.
But for too many parents, the cost of childcare makes that choice impossible.
That's why the government are introducing a better deal for families.
Right now, we offer 30 hours of free childcare for working parents of three- and four-year-olds. But we're going further.
We're DOUBLING the total amount of free childcare, so kids will get 30 hours of free childcare from the time they're nine months old to the time they start school.
This will lower bills for families - and just as important - this will restore choice to parents.
Keir Starmer has gone back and forth over whether he supports our free childcare plan. He clearly can't make up his mind.
But I think childcare is too important to mess around with.
That's why I will always vote to protect 30 hours of free childcare - no ifs, no buts.
Just like I voted to help more families keep their child benefits. We're moving towards a household system, ending the unfairness for single-earner families. So parents never have to choose between work and childcare. And to start with, we raised the threshold from £50,000 to £60,000 this April, so 170,000 more families keep their full benefits.
And I'm backing the increased funding for school to provide wraparound care - so parents will be able to drop kids off at 8am and pick them up at 6pm.
This is real progress, but I want to know if YOU support it.

While Labour refuse to say whether they'd keep our free childcare, we're getting on with the job. So fill in this short survey and let me know if you agree with us >>>
