MARK Jenkinson MP has extended his congratulations to the staff of a Cumbrian pub singled out for praise in The Sunday Times.
The Inn at the Bush Kirkbride received a rave review in the national newspaper for its fine food, picturesque setting and campsite – and the MP popped in celebrate their achievement.
The pub, which boasts a beer garden, is a popular pitstop for cyclists , bikers and camper vans experiencing the beauty of the Solway Coast.
Colin Smithson, who runs the pub, said he was “feeling very proud” and paid tribute to his hardworking staff.
Mark Jenkinson added: “It’s great to see another successful business flying the flag for Cumbria – and that their egg and twice-cooked chips have now been officially endorsed by The Sunday Times, a publication of note.
“If you are in the area, this pub is well worth a visit. It is one of the privileges of being an MP that I get a platform to talk up local businesses and to celebrate their achievements.
“It is great to see the Inn at the Bush receiving the national recognition it so richly deserves.”
